New Amina collection was unveiled by Nigerian design label. Needle Point and there new look-book has been pushed out to ensure everyone gets a peep at the new collection.
The collection was named after Queen Amina of Northern Nigeria. Inspired by the Elizabethan era, the collection is dominated by full sleeves, high necklines and ruffles that typify the era. The predominant colour, purple is infused with a liberal use of regal tones of teal, mustard, cobalt and earth tones.
The rich Ankara fabric is embellished and further accentuated by the use of velvets, damask, silks, guipure & Chantilly lace fabrics. Gold and silver adorned by royalty are also used in trimmings and embroidery.
What do you think of the collection?

I think that’s why they chose that location, more like a contrast kind of thing – let’s keep the location simple while the designs shine. and it came out just perfect

You know what I like about her collection is the fact that she broke out of the contemporary local design and she went forward to use the African prints in a versatile way, Which I also totally love.
